Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
Who we are
GA Medical Card ("we", "us") helps people in Georgia, Florida and California get evaluated for a medical marijuana card by independent, licensed physicians. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, our phone line and text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the state you live in, appointment preferences, and anything you choose to tell us about your health or qualifying condition when you call, text or book.
Information collected automatically: basic device and browser details, pages visited, the site that referred you, and whether you tapped a call button. We collect this with cookies and analytics tools.
How we use your information
- To prequalify you, schedule your evaluation and send appointment reminders
- To connect you with an independent licensed physician and help with your state registration steps
- To answer your questions and provide customer support
- To send text messages you have agreed to receive (see "Text messaging" below)
- To keep the website secure, measure how it is used and improve it
- To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
Health information
Medical evaluations are performed by independent physicians who handle your health records under HIPAA and applicable state law. We only use health details you share with us to prequalify you and coordinate your visit. We do not sell health information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, GA Medical Card may send you messages about your prequalification, appointments, reminders and your card status. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.
Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, and you will receive one confirmation message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages for us.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide our service:
- With the independent physicians who perform your evaluation
- With service providers that host this site, run our phone and text systems, schedule appointments or provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of your data
- With state agencies when you ask us to help with a registry application
- When required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How we protect and keep information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
